Note in Isle of Wight - very upper pennisula is likely where John Branch resided and George Branch Sr. Ivor in IOW is also near Branch family lands. Note the shire of Elizabeth City on the pennisula; this is where the 1635 "cabin boy" John Branch had lands - see "Back River Pt."

Southampton VA was once a part of IOW Isle of Wight. George Branch originated in Surry near the IOW line.
